The member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro federal constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has felicitated with the Christians world over as they celebrate this year’s Christmas in commemoration to the birth of Jesus.
In a goodwill message made available at the eve of Christmas, Hon Halims called on Christian faithfuls to imbibe the true essence of Christ’s life and existence which is love and kindness – while celebrating.
The federal lawmaker noted that Christmas is a period of love as exemplified in the Birth of Jesus stressing the need for all Christians to emulate this love and show it to neighbors and the less privileged ones in our society for a peaceful and economically stabled society.
Halims said Jesus was an embodiment of love, peace, tolerance, compassion and empathy for the vulnerable reiterating the need for all to emulate same.
He then called on all, especially those traveling for yuletide, to be security conscious before, during and after the festivities noting that security is a serious concern that should not be left to security agencies alone but treated as a collective responsibility of all citizens.
Hon Halims congratulated Christian faithfuls of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro federal constituency in particular and of the world at large, enjoining them to continue praying for the peace, stability, and progress of the constituency and country in general.
