It is an honor to join the Olotu Dynasty in celebrating an extraordinary icon, a responsible and responsive father, great-grandfather, and esteemed educator. As the world gathers today in Ikare to honor Chief Festus Buraimoh Olotu, we reflect on a life of significant impact and enduring influence.

As an alumnus of St. Barnabas Secondary School, I take pride in celebrating you as the first Black principal of SBSS Kabba. The solid foundation you established continues to speak volumes about your character and dedication many years later. At 90, you and your dear wife, Chief Mrs. Cordelia Olotu, remain steadfast in advancing quality education through the establishment of The Right Foundation, which encompasses a crèche, nursery, primary, and secondary school. These institutions operate on a charitable basis, with very low fees, reflecting your unwavering belief that education is a vital tool for personal empowerment and societal development.

Wishing you many more prosperous and healthy years ahead. To my dear friend and brother, Kayode Olotu (Bobo), and Rear Admiral Olumuyiwa Morakinyo Olotu, the dutiful, responsive, and responsible Commandant of the National Defence College, I celebrate with you and your family over God’s continued faithfulness in the life of your esteemed father and patriarch. Your family’s legacy of dedication and service is truly inspiring.
