The Convener of Babayemi Vanguard Support Group for Ododo, Chief Babayemi Olorunfemi, has congratulated the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on his victory at the Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja today the 27th of May, 2024.
He said the “momentous outcome of the rulings is a testament to the unwavering trust and confidence the people of Kogi State have in the visionary leadership of Governor Ododo, and most importantly a solid brick added to our country’s democratic system.”
I a statement on Monday, Babayemi stated that the tribunal’s ruling is a triumphant validation of the mandate given to Ododo by the people, and a clear indication that the electoral process was free, fair, and credible.
“This victory is a testament to Governor Ododo’s tireless efforts to serve the people of Kogi State with integrity, transparency, and accountability,” he said.
Chief Babayemi wished the Governor continued wisdom, strength, and success as he continues to serve the people of Kogi State with dedication and passion. He also prayed that Ododo’s administration bring about even more progress, development, and prosperity to the state; as his leadership be a beacon presents hope and inspiration to the people.
As we merry in this triumph victory for democracy and the rule of law, it is important to appreciate the resilience and independence of the judiciary in reflecting the will of the people; as it reinforces the people’s faith in the electoral process of Nigeria.
Chief Babayemi admonished candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Muri Ajaka, and other aggrieved petitioners to “extend their congratulatory messages to the true victor of the November 11th gubernatorial election, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, without distracting the governance of the state further by pursing fruitless court cases at a higher court of law.”
