The political movement of late Alhaji Idriss King, who was the chairman of Kogi Central Advisory Council, thank Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello for the role he played and the support he gave the family and supporters of Alhaji King during the burial ceremony in Okene.
The vacuum created by the deceased has actually created tension in Kogi Central as to who will continue from where Alhaji King stopped with some of the aspirants allegedly claiming to have received the nod of the governor even when there is yet to be a formal pronouncement from the governor.
While it remained a fact that at the end of the day somebody will eventually emerged the chairman of this noble body, it becomes imperative for whoever is aspiring to focus on how the body could attract development to people at the grassroot level and ensuring victory for the Governor Yahaya led administration come 2019 general election.
It is very pertinent for the aspirants to know that the body is a sensitive and respected position in Kogi Central reserved for people of honour and integrity that championed the course of good governance and delivering the dividends of democracy to people at the grassroot and therefore should not be seen as an opportunity for self-enrichment.
