The Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation CESVO has presented a certificate of excellence in ethical leadership to member representing Ankpa federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims.
The Rep member was also conferred with the centre’s ‘Integrity Icon of Nigeria(IION)’ award.
Executive Director of CESVO, Prince Salih Yakubu presented the certificate and award to the lawmaker in Abuja on Friday.
Yakubu explained that the honour was in due recognition of the federal lawmaker’s outstanding performance across board and an overall rating that places him above other lawmakers from Kogi state in the 9th National Assembly.
According to him, Rep Halims is a parliamentary model owing to his excellent performance in utilization of constituency development funds, effective legislation, open door policy and attraction of federal infrastructure to the federal constituency.
Responding, Rep Halims, who is also the Chairman of the House Committee on Steel Development, thanked the CESVO for finding him worthy of such honour out of many and vowed to do more.
The recipient enumerated his efforts at making intervention for the attention of Federal MDAs to critical areas such as power and agricultural development.
Highlight of the day was presentation of commendation letters to both National Assembly Commission and supportive staff of Hon Halims all of whom the Centre noted has contributed in no mean measure towards the admirable performance of their principal.
