Centre for Development Communication Wins 2025 International Award for Best Community Engagement in Nigeria

A civil society organization, Centre for Development Communication (formerly MAWA-Foundation), has been honoured with the Acquisition International Non-Profit Organization Award 2025 as the Best Community Engagement Organization in Nigeria.

This award honours impactful, purpose-driven work.

This recognition celebrates C4DC’s commitment to empowering communities through effective communication, participatory practices, and sustainable development initiatives.

Reacting to the honour, the Director, Centre for Development Communication, Audu Liberty Oseni, said “It shows that our work in engaging communities is being recognized internationally as outstanding. It also highlights that our programmess, projects, and outreach efforts are considered among the best in Nigeria. At the same time, it is a validation that our work is making a real, measurable impact on the communities we serve. Our strategies for involving, participatory communication, educating, and empowering people are viewed as effective, sustainable, and exemplary.”

He dedicated the award to all their partners, stakeholders, and community members whose support and collaboration make C4DC’s work possible.

Oseni said C4DC remains committed to amplifying voices, driving impact, and advancing meaningful change across Nigeria and beyond.
