American screenwriter and producer, Chris Morgan, Kogi State Mass Choir, Victoria Obaja and Lord Bishop and several other gospel artistes ministered in songs at this year’s Carol service and Kogi state festival of praise.

It was another moment of worship and praise as Christians in Kogi State gathered at the Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre Lokoja for this year’s Carol Service and Festival of Praise.

Organised by Kogi State Government, the event attracted top government functionaries and Christians from various denominations, who also prayed for the progress and peace of the State.

Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade in her remarks said the event has come to stay as it has become an annual programme aimed at bringing believers together to worship God.

Mrs. Ayoade used the programme to appreciate Christians for their prayers and support to the present administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, urging them to sustain it.

She assured that under the Governor Ododo led administration, religious harmony will be promoted for peace, progress and development.

In his remarks, the State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Senior Apostle Adebayo Olaniyan urged Christians to pray for the peace of Kogi State, especially the rescue of those kidnapped in Ejiba.

Apostle Olaniyan pledged the support of CAN to the present administration, calling for prayers for him.

He added that the Christian Community in the State is proud of the SGS for bringing believers together to praise God, describing her as a humble goal getter.
