Carnival: Omodara, Wemi Jones Champion Cultural Harmony at Kogi West Celebration

Governor Usman Ododo has been commended for his commitment to promotion of culture and harmony as the ongoing International Carnival berth in Kabba, the headquarters of Kogi West senatorial district.

State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd) and the State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, who both added a touch of prestige to the Kogi International Carnival held in Kabba on Monday hailed the Governor for creating conducive environment in the state.

The duo called for sustained efforts to promote the rich cultural heritage of communities in Kogi West.

The carnival, which kicked off on Sunday with a grand ceremony led by Governor Ododo, aims to unite the citizens of Kogi State and promote cultural diversity and harmony.

Omodara and Jones commended the organizers for their dedication and efforts in putting together the carnival.

They emphasized the importance of cultural events in fostering unity and togetherness among the people of Kogi State.

The event featured colorful displays of traditional dances, mouth-watering local cuisine, and captivating exhibitions of indigenous crafts, all aimed at celebrating the diverse cultural heritage of the region.

As the Kogi International Carnival continues its journey across the senatorial districts, it is expected to further strengthen the cultural fabric of state and showcase the rich traditions that make the state unique.
