The current Miss Kogi, Aliyu Habeebat is not just beautiful and intelligent, she is also a rare gem with a heart of gold. Crowned Miss Kogi in July 2013, Habeebat has touched children and the less privileged in no small way.
A great ambassador, Queen Habeebat has associated with the group of persons who are largely neglected in our society. In the last four months since she was crowned, Habeebat has doled out special gifts and organised memorable events for the leaders of tomorrow.
On the 20th of July, two weeks after being crowned as Miss Kogi, she shared food items and other daily necessities with the needy in Lokoja for ramadan fasting with special focus on beggars around Lokoja Old Market.
On 1st of August, Queen Habeebat gave out educational materials to students at Ondare Musa Group of Schools, Felele, Lokoja. On 9th August, she organised Sallah party for kids at Alama Multi-Purpose centre, Lokoja and on 10th August 2013, the amiable Queen celebrated Sallah with orphans at Margaret Ohiani Orphanage Home, Zango-Daji, Lokoja.
More recently, the Oworo-born beauty donated food items and educational materials to kids at MOMs Orphanage Home, Lokoja and organised party and seminar to mark Nigeria’s 53rd independence anniversary on 1st October.
Habeebat is currently a student of Business Administration and Management at the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja. A native of Oworo in Lokoja Local Government, she loves pounded yam with egusi soup – she likes it hot. Her favourite colours are red, gold and white. Her hobbies include, reading, making friends, travelling and listening to good music.
