Hon. John Aduga, an oil mogul from the royal family of Aduga Onu in Akwu village, suburb 2, Ankpa Local Government was born in Akwu village on 01 October, 1980.
He began his primary education at LGEA primary school Akwu, Ankpa between 1986 to 1992. Hon. Aduga proceeded to community secondary school, Ankpa where he obtained his Senior Secondary Certificate. Consequently, upon his penchant for knowledge, Aduga proceeded to the prestigious Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa where he obtained Ordinary National Diploma(OND) in Crime management.
In 2012, Aduga enrolled for National Diploma at Nasarawa State Polytechnic and obtained ND in marketing with upper credit. He started his Higher National Diploma (HND) in marketing and graduated with upper division from Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, 2016.
Professional Background
He started his career as a manager in 2001 at TAMARA guest house, Abuja where he performed excellently. In 2012, he was employed as shift manager at Total filling Station, Abuja. In that same year, due to his crime management cognate experience, he became a security consultant to SANTANA security ltd and worked for over two years before he returned to Total Filling station as cashier and later grew to become manager. Until his appointment, Aduga was the managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Destinemma Oil and Gas Nigeria LTD, Abuja.
Hon. John Aduga is the president and founder of ADUGA FOUNDATION and ADUGA NETWORK, a non-governmental humanitarian organization that is out to provide succor to less privilege people. The foundation has trained and sponsored thousands of Ankpa students, both in the secondary and tertiary institutions.
Political Activities
Hon. Aduga is very enthusiastic, committed and supportive team player. He has been a member of APP, ANPP, CPC and now APC; he held several positions posts where he displayed highest level of political professionalism, dedication and selflessness in all the positions.
Aduga was the reason for the landslide victory recorded by President Muhammad Buhari in Ogodo, Akwu, Ankpa Subub 1 and Surbub 2 of Ankpa where he served as the grassroots mobilizer.
Aduga also repeated same in the main election and supervised the gubernatorial elections in Kogi State with all humility and he used his position to canvas votes from various associations, religious groups, women, youths and traditional rulers. Through brainstorming, strategies and synergy, Kogi was delivered for APC and the then incumbent PDP Governor was defeated.
In 2018, Aduga influenced the defection of over 230 from PDP, ADC, APDA and Labour party members to the ruling APC in his polling unit.
As a man who love peace, he decided to relinquish his ambition to represent the good people of Ankpa 1 State constituency for the incumbent Hon. Ahmed Ahmed.
Philanthropic Achievements With Personal Sweat
With all sense of humility, Aduga by the Grace of God, has assisted numerous sons and daughters to secure jobs in many offices and establishments in Nigeria. He is has been the source of hope and committed to the plight of the less privileged, poor, destitute, orphans and windows.
