Bridge Gap Between People and Govt, Group Tasks Newly Appointed SSAs in Kogi

Coalition of civil society groups led by Policy Advocacy and Integrity Network Nigeria (PAINN) has called on the newly appointed senior special assistants to Kofi state governor on youth and women mobilization to bridge the gap between the people and government.

In a statement signed by Joe Folu Mesele and Richard Aro, executive director and secretary respectively, PAINN commended Governor Yahaya Bello for creating a direct connect with the people with the recent appointments.

“On behalf of the coalition, we congratulate the new appointees. We charge them to justify their appointments by ensuring they work round the clock to bring to deliver the dividend of good governance as envisioned by His Excellency Alhaji Yahata Bello for the people of Kogi state from all walks of life.

“We have no doubts in the capacity of the new direction administration to deliver on her campaign promises.

“The ball is now rolling in the court of the new appointees to justify the confidence reposed on them by bridging gap that hitherto existed between the people and the power at the centre in Kogi state.

“We urge them to be be fair, just and proactive in the delivery of good governance to the people, as their loyalty is first to the people via the constitution and the new direction administration.

“We wish the new appointees divine wisdom in the discharge of their respective responsibilities as reposed on them by the young and ever dynamic Governor of Kogi state,” the statement said.
