The National Chairman of Network for Change and Good Governance (NCGG), Comrade Ismaila Yusuf Atumeyi, has called on Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello to resign honourably before the eventual ouster by the courts.

In a chat with Kogireports, Atumeyi urges Gov Bello to toe the path of honour and resign as it is evident that the governorship seat is bigger than him.

According to Atumeyi, “for the first time in the history of Nigeria democratic experience a sitting governor is receiving an upper cut from the State Executives of his own party. The young man is not in charge, those who love him should advice him to throw in the towel before a disgraceful removal from office”

“At the moment Kogi is going into financial crisis, the governor is just obtaining loans up and down with no single project to show for the credit facilities. Yahaya Bello and his cronies knows little or nothing about governance”, he added.

Atumeyi argues that Kogi need an experienced politician cum administrator to pilot her affairs. He believes contenders like Captain Idris Wada and Honourable James Abiodun Faleke are better equipped to lead Kogi State.

He advised Gov Bello to bow out and come back in 2019 to represent his people at the Senate so as to acquire requisite experience for future political adventures.
