Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho) has donated hundreds of life Jackets and cash support to Onugwa and other communities in Ibaji local government area of Kogi state to avert boat mishaps in the future.
Presenting the items and cash support on behalf of the Senator, members of his delegation emphasized Senator Echocho’s deep concern for the welfare and safety of his people, particularly those residing in the flood prone and riverine parts of Kogi East. They noted that the intervention reflects his commitment to practical, people-oriented representation.
The distribution exercise, which took place at the flag-off ceremony in Ibaji, attracted the presence of notable dignitaries, including the Kogi State Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Timothy Ojoma; the Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Comfort Egwuaba, and the Chairman of Ibaji local government, Hon. Emmanuel Uge, among several other stakeholders.
While commending Senator Echocho for his swift response and consistent humanitarian gestures, the dignitaries described him as a leader with empathy and foresight, who prioritizes the lives and well-being of his people above politics. They noted that his timely intervention will go a long way in averting future hazardous situations along the waterways of Ibaji and beyond.
