“I feel no remorse in putting words together this special day to celebrate an amazon of our time, a personality whose intelligence, patriotism, integrity, selflessness, doggedness and sagacity have not only brought pride and honour to her immediate household and Olamaboro community, but kogi state and the nation at large,” Comrade Adama said.
Comrade Adama who said HRM Blessing Aisha Ekele who jostled for All Progressive Congress (APC) Governorship ticket along side with Governor Yahaya Bello in the last governorship primary election in Kogi is one woman that God has sent to liberate the downtrodden in the society. He stated that she is a natural leader of this generation whose desires is to do great things to others, more than herself.
“You have used your leadership skills, resource management and blazing skill to underwrite so many initiatives. We are so proud to call you our teacher, mentor, leader and a mother,” he said.
The Administrator of Olamaboro Connect stated further that Ekele has assisted in defining the limit of the aspirations for the girl child education in the community.
Comrade Adama hinted that Ekele is a symbol of all the qualities younger women should posses, adding that her moral contributions in making the last Olamaboro Connect project a reality remains evergreen.
Shedding more light, he said through her pet projects like ‘Liberal Female Youth Empowerment and Development Foundation’, ‘Women Empowerment’ and ‘Encouraging and Supporting Girl-Child Education’ among others, Ekele has brought to bear her contributions to the development and emancipation of mankind from challenges of life.
Adama noted that no wonder that her sterling quality was spotted by the highly respected Yakanajie, Uke kingdom in Nassarawa state as it conferred their revered and highest traditional chieftaincy title of the land for women folks, Magajia 1, on her few years ago.
He urged Ekele to exercise “capacity for tolerance, understanding, forgiveness and allow God to fulfill His promise in her life”, saying that Ekele should not take it that she has arrived, but rather, renew her strength for greater responsibilities which lies ahead.
