Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, has applauded Governor Usman Ododo for offering himself genuinely as the Chief Servant of the people.
In a statement signed by the Rector and made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday, Prof. Salisu congratulated Governor Ododo on his birthday anniversary.
He noted that the Governor’s inspiring candour and uniqueness has been the hallmarks of his conduct.
“On behalf of the Academic Board, Management, Alumni, staff and students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, I heartily and warmly rejoice with His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State and the Visitor to the institution, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on the auspicious and momentous occasion of his birthday.
“Your Excellency, Sir, marking such milestone with the uncommon posture of warmth, unconditional love, humility and generosity towards all have made yours much more special.
“We, therefore, celebrate you most warmly and profoundly for the grace of the inspiring candour and uniqueness that have been the hallmarks of your conduct, both as a human being and a public servant.
“We celebrate you profoundly for offering yourself genuinely as the Chief Servant of the people as evident in the seamless and even facelift of our rural communities and the renewal of our urban centres.
“We celebrate you for advancing the frontiers of the New Direction Project as articulated and vigorously pursued under your immediate predecessor, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello,” he said.
Prof Salisu added that “at the Kogi State Polytechnic in particular, we celebrate you most warmly, not just for your huge support and guidance, but also for your principle of non-interference which have preserved the institution’s autonomy and promoted academic ethics and excellence.
“We will continue to celebrate you for your unrivaled vision and courage which have consolidated the huge gains of democracy and strengthen the security architecture of Kogi State.
“It is our fervent prayer that God continues to guide, protect and strengthen you with the required wisdom to provide more purposeful leadership for the State.”
