Birthday: Kogi Poly Rector Celebrates VC Prince Abubakar Audu University, Prof Tenuche

Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has described the Vice Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche, as a mother and mentor to many within the academic community.

In a goodwill message on Monday, Prof. Usman congratulated the Vice Chancellor on her birthday celebration, noting that her legacy of unprecedented impact and reforms at PAAU has been remarkable.

“Ma’am, your tenure as Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba has been a legacy of outstanding leadership and unprecedented impact, marked by bold reforms and remarkable achievements such as collaborations with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), the approval of thirteen (13) new academic programmes by the National Universities Commission (NUC) including Medicine and Surgery, and the full accreditation of all academic programmes.

“Beyond these institutional strides, you have over the years been a mother and mentor to many within and outside the academic community, guiding with wisdom, nurturing with compassion and inspiring with your exemplary character,” Prof Usman said.

The Kogi Poly Rector added that the impact of these contributions will endure for generations, shaping not only the University but also the broader educational landscape of Kogi State and Nigeria at large.

“We are proud to celebrate you on this auspicious occasion and pray that Almighty Allah grant you long life, good health, wisdom and renewed strength to continue to steer Prince Abubakar Audu University toward greater heights of academic excellence.”
