One quality of being human is that nobody is perfect; everyone has both good and bad sides. However, judging from Senator Ohere’s actions, I would say his good side overwhelmingly surpasses the other.

Sen. Ohere is an exemplary leader who sees everything and acts on everything, especially when it concerns the system and Kogites. He has explored every opportunity to shape the lives of our youths and contribute to the system’s growth. He made it a habit to be closer to the youth and thus he knows exactly when he sees the youth frown their faces due to ill treatment, and he knows exactly how to pacify them in words and follow-up action.

What hasn’t he done when he has the opportunity? He has launched seasonal scholarships for lower-level schools, master’s, and PhD holders. For undergraduates, he has facilitated federal jobs for our youth (I can attest to this, as he once offered me two Federal opportunities, which I missed due to destiny and a friend got lucky).

For those into small-scale businesses, he provides support with substantial capital. Interestingly, Sen. Ohere has bridged the gap between our government to the benefits our youth in entertainment, as seen in the case of Mr. Calabash, Yunique, Sharon, King Dris and many more.

Even as he no longer serving, he recently intervened in Ajemo’s case, demonstrating his unwavering commitment. He has also attended to countless health challenges. Adayi has empowered a significant percentage of Kogi youths to become car and house owners.

He does this without limitations, empowering both known and unknown youths, leaders in government, and even those under leaders who may not support him. His interest lies in the well-being of Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the system’s growth.

You may have heard FGYB do refer to him as the “Small Governor”; this wasn’t a mistake, but a testament to his merits. Although haters frowned upon such praise, but from what I know about Senator Ohere’s role in FGYB’s administration, he is extraordinary.

Looking at Adayi’s current position, I will only describe him with the Ebira word “Anyiénwu.” But my prayer remains that God will continue to guide and support our leaders who choose selflessness over greed, prioritizing the well-being of our youths and the masses.
