While Nigerians across the country join in celebrating the birthday of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Alhaj Ahmed Abdul Mumin, ADC to the Executive Governor of Imo State, has sent a personal message of congratulations to the nation’s top police officer.
Alhaji Ahmed noted that since his appointment on June 19, 2023, by President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, IGP Egbetokun has led the Nigeria Police Force with a focus on innovation, safety, and public trust. Under his leadership, the force has achieved significant milestones:
“Rescue Operations: Over 300 kidnapped victims rescued and more than 10,000 suspects arrested across the country.
“Community Policing: Expanded and institutionalized across all states to strengthen police-community relations.
“Police Welfare and Infrastructure: Advocated for improved training, equipment, and infrastructure for officers nationwide.
“Legal Reforms: Upgraded the Legal Section to Directorate status with a pioneer director appointed.
“Recognition of Excellence: Decorated police officers of the year 2023 and 2024 for their outstanding service.
“On this special day, I personally extend my heartfelt wishes to the IGP for good health, happiness, and continued success, acknowledging his exemplary leadership and dedication to ensuring the safety of all Nigerians.”
