It may be perceived right in some quarters, but in the real sense of it, it’s morally wrong and a despicable act in governance.
No learned one is against the idea of weeding out the ghost workers from the civil service but in the same vein it is unjustifiable to weed out those who were duly employed into the system in the cause of letting out the ghost workers as acclaimed.
A good government as we were taught and have seen, is the one that provide jobs opportunities for its citizens not a job terminator as witnessed here.
His excellency sir, the Kogites went massively to the poll to seek for a change in governance in order to have improved standard of living in generality and not the other way round.
Sir, what will be the fate of the families whose father, mother were affected? What about the life of their children? They should go to other states to claim citizenship? These are questions that need a thoughtful answer if at all this screening should stand.
At present, there is a moment of sober reflection and pain across the 21 LGA in the state. Masses had began to wonder if there have done wrong in voting for the change, and some had began to say if they had known they would have done otherwise at the poll, though no one vote for you anyway.
Sir, even though you are on an excursion tour in Lugard house as perceived by majority in the state, it is also possible to put smile on faces of the citizens, so that by the time you come for the real game, you going to have a mass support of the Kogites. You don’t have to look at your time span in there, because any day you spend there, will either count for you or against you in this state politics and Nigeria as a whole.
One of the cardinal implication of this act is that you are directly, (not indirectly please) encouraging criminality, cultism and other social vices in your dear state. The level at which all these increased since u assumed office left every concern wondering, we were patiently waiting to see how this will come to a halt, only to see you encouraging it, where then is the change???
