The political camp of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo received a fresh boost as former National Assembly Clerk, Sani Ataba Omolori, alongside his brother Ibrahim, paid a courtesy visit to former Governor Yahaya Bello.
The high-powered meeting, which lasted for 2 hours, also had Senator Abubakar Ohere in attendance, went beyond a friendly call. Discussions reportedly focused on Kogi’s political direction, strengthening unity among stakeholders, and pledging total support for the Ododo administration.
Speaking at the meeting, Sani Omolori said: “Governor Ododo is our collective project. We must all stand with him to succeed because the progress of Kogi State is bigger than any individual interest.”
In his remarks, former Governor Yahaya Bello described the visit as timely, noting: “This is the kind of unity we need. With everyone working together, Governor Ododo will consolidate on our achievements and deliver even more for the people of Kogi.”
Also lending his voice, Senator Abubakar Ohere said: “What you are seeing here is a demonstration of solidarity. We are sending a clear message that Governor Ododo has the full backing of Kogi leaders.”
Political observers see the development as a strategic move that reinforces Ododo’s base while affirming Bello’s continuing influence as a power broker in Kogi politics.
