Ebira Must Be Better Group, EMBB, yesterday declared that Kogi State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello is the
best governor the State has ever had.
The group gave its opinion through a statement issued by its president, Comrade Danfulani Ohinoyi Lukman.
Danfulani queried the rationale behind an earlier statement issued in praise of the former governor and governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last election, Idris Wada, and affirm that the governor was better and has performed better than his predecessors within a short time.
“Recently, the experience and ability of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello as the state’s helmsman was questioned. In their submission, they opined that Idris Wada is better than Bello! How they arrived at this mockery of a
conclusion is still strange to us. To start with, Wada was the worst governor the state ever had. Under Wada you cannot count on any tangible project under him, he suffered all the civil servants of the state and made them pass through hell. Their basis for comparison of Governor Wada with Governor Bello is what I don’t understand. Wada as a governor cannot be rated as one of the effective performers. We don’t know how many projects he has sponsored or what his contribution to the state other than putting civil servants of the state on useless percentage and refusal to pay them there salaries.
“We also have no sterling record of his performance in office,” the group stated.
“On the other hand, Bello, as governor has touched various parastatals and have paid some civil servants salaries owed by Wada’s administration. Bello practically took giant steps towards revamping the state and making the state among the leading economic giant state. And someone is trying to underestimate such a man?”
