BEBM Exhibitions Ranks Ceramic MD, Bhaskar Rao’s Expertise High, Says He Deserves Nigeria’s Citizenship

Chairman Advisory Council of Kogi Built Environment and Building Materials Exhibitions (BEBM), Chief Bola Fejuku, Ba’alo of Oworo Kingdom, has ranked the expertise of the Managing Director of the West African Ceramic Limited, Ogoro Village, Ajaokuta, Mr. Bhaskar P. Rao high with a call on the Federal Government to grant him Nigerian citizenship status.

The royal father made the request in Lokoja at the recently concluded 5th edition of the Kogi Built Environment and Building Materials Exhibition opening and recognition ceremony.

Mr. Bhaskar P. Rao was honoured as one of the BEBM Exhibition’s Shelter Development Icons of the Decade.

“Rao’s Expertise contribution towards the nation’s economic and industrial development is worthy of Nigeria recognition particularly Nigeria Housing, and recommends him for the Citizenship of Nigeria,” Chief Fejuku affirmed.

According to him, “the BEBM Exhibitions, The SHELTER DEVELOPMENT ICONS OF THE DECADE award series is an instrument of BEBM Exhibitions for the recognition of immense contribution to the development of the built environment sector and its practice in Kogi state particularly in the area of Planning, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Building Construction and Building Materials Science, Environmental Sciences and Building Materials Production and distribution vocation practices and businesses rendered to promote the built environment industry.”

The event held from 19th to 21st September, 2023 with the theme; Profitability and Quality Advantages of Made in Nigeria Housing Development Options and Materials at the Indoor Exhibition Arena, Idrinana Hotels and Suites, Lokoja.

In the various remarks before the award investiture, the organizers and participants of the exhibition were resolute in their resolve on the need for the federal government of Nigeria to show appreciation for the enormous contributions of Mr. Bhaskar P. Rao to housing development in Nigeria. Also noted were his unparallel commitment and support the capacity building and training of the key professionals and artisans in the built environment industry.

It was also observed that as Managing Director of the West African Ceramics Limited, he has demonstrated high level of recognition of the place of host communities and its coordination and relevance in the conduct of peacefully businesses particularly mining of mineral resources.

This the said he achieved through excellent project facilitation, interaction, advocacy and support to hosts communities.

Other nominees for the 2023 Shelter Development Icons of The Decade are Mr. J.V. Gungune the Plant Director of Dangote Cement, Obajana; Arc. Mahmud Ibrahim, the Managing Director/ CEO Hadid Consultants, and Mr. Gbeja Juwon Peter, the MD/CEO of Milk and Honey Luxury Homes Ltd.

As a display of the host community satisfaction and solidarity, the people Ajaokuta were represented at the event by a league of traditional chiefs under the leadership of HRH (Alhaji) Musa Achuja, the Ohi of Eganyi and the Chairman of Ajaokuta Traditional Council.

The monarchs appreciated the West African Ceramic Limited in reducing crime in their domain by the provision of gainfully employment to their employees and business opportunities for it populace through transportation, small mining value chain, general commerce and improved socio-economy activities of the areas.
