The Executive Chairman of Adavi Local Government, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami, has called on appointees in the council to serve as role models to everyone in their respective communities.
Salami made the call during an interactive session with members of his cabinet at the council hall on Thursday.
He noted that some council appointees have become mere figure heads in their various wards.
He urged them to be generous and continue to win hearts for the government of Governor Yahaya Bello.
The council chairman counseled them to relate with people from their various wards in a good manner, be a good team player, be security conscious and encourage peace in their communities.
“It is important for everyone of us here to portray the good image of this government and that of H.E Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello. He is a man who loves and cherish unity amongst his followers. Therefore, we at the grassroots have to cultivate same habit. It will certainly speak well of our reputation.
“I urge you all to extend generosity to fellow men even if they don’t share the same political idea with you. Let’s keep encouraging each other for good, that is what this government stands for.
“We have keyed into GYB-PYB long before now, I want to urge everyone to continue preaching the gospel of GYB-PYB. Nigeria can only get better with Alh. Yahaya Bello at the helm of affairs. It will be historical to be part of the movement and history will always remember this generation as we record victory for His Excellency, Alh Yahaya Bello to become the next President of this great nation come 2023,” he said.
