Over the past few months, analyst have pondered on the future of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bassa LGA of Kogi State as one its major leaders, Hon Sunday Shigaba jumped ship and pitched his tent with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Reports coming to us indicate that following this development, the people of the area have vowed never to be cowed by inconsistent political opportunists who will use the party as a platform and later dump it.
Their electoral chances is being resurrected by the entry of a young vibrant and visionary contender, Hon Yizogembi Abwa who is seeking the mandate of the party to contest the state Assembly election.
The young man was once the helmsman of the Fadama III project in the LGA where so many developmental strides were achieved during the span of the program.
His entry is being speculated to have rattled the ruling PDP in the area who believes his charisma and giant strides will be difficult to be brushed aside.
