Barrister Halima Alfa has proved the above saying by all standards in the leadership history of Nigeria. Working hand in hand with the late Prince Abubakar Audu, she has taken pains to reposition Kogi State and Nigeria at large for a new direction to development and prosperity of the citizens.
Barrister Halima Alfa has proved herself a woman of valour and vitality. She is a workaholic team player who stood by the late Prince Abubakar Audu in all aspects. She has also played pivotal roles during the presidential and gubernatorial elections.
With her Women for Change and Development Initiative, she has toured the entire country campaigning for affirmative action for Nigerian women.
She has taken pains to tour various parts of the country to hob-nob with Nigerian women of all social strata in order to give them a sense of belonging.
Barrister Halima Alfa is popularly known for her humility, down to earth life, touch, warmth and heart of gold for the downtrodden of the Nigerian society. Her sense of humility remains a reference point any day.
Barrister Halima Alfa through concerted efforts has established several women rehabilitation programmes aimed at improving the welfare of Nigerian widows, destitutes, physically challenged and less privileged.
Barrister Halima Alfa through massive awareness creation and sensitization activities has so much prepared Nigerian women for active participation in present and future governance in Nigeria. She obtains elective nomination forms for women as a means of encouraging them to vie for elective position.
She organizes seminars, workshops and rallies in different parts of the country to educate Nigerian women on how to strike a balance between leadership position and their primary roles as mothers. She motivates state governors’ wives and other privileged women on grassroots support for women.
She gives quality representation to Nigerian women and the country in the International Community.
She has numerous humanitarian, leadership and role model awards to her credit from all over Kogi State and the country. In her life, she has always desired a better life for her people and the society in general. Her years on earth has been that of service to humanity and the less privileged.
She has rendered assistance to youths across the state through her NGO even as a legal luminary. Today, through her NGO she has trained a lot of progressive minded youths. There are some of her beneficiaries now in final year at Prince Abubakar Audu University formally known as Kogi State University, Federal Polytechnic Idah, Kogi State Polytechnic, College of Education in Ankpa and other institutions of higher learning.
She is smart, ambitious, works on her purpose, lives her values, She is psychologically sound and loves herself. She is kind, humble, straightforward and encapsulates her talent and potential. She stands for truth, forms beliefs with an open mindset and always ready to learn new things. She has her own individuality, an attitude of gratitude and perception of right optimism.
