Wife of former Governor of Kogi state, Barrister Amina Bello has gifted Hon. Yakubu Nazir Abdulhakeem, the Executive Secretary, Kogi State Office for Disability Affairs, a motorized electric wheelchair.
The wheelchair was presented to Hon Abdulhakeem by Commissioner for Women and Social Development, Hajiya Fatimah Momoh, at the former Governor’s residence in Okene.
In a statement issued in Lokoja on Wednesday, Hon. Abdulhakeem said the gift was a selfless act and an indication of Barr Amina’s love and care for persons with disabilities.
“On behalf of the family and the disabled community in Kogi Central, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Her Excellency for her caring and inclusive approach towards both abled and disabled persons in society. Her kindness and generosity are truly inspiring, and we pray that Almighty Allah continues to bless and reward her for her good deeds.
“Oh! Almighty Allah, we pray that You bless Her Excellency Barrister Amina Bello, Hon. Commissioner Hajiya Fatimah Momoh, and all those involved in this noble act. Grant them good health, prosperity, and happiness. May their kindness and generosity be a source of inspiration to others, and may they continue to touch the lives of those in need. Ameen,” he prayed.
Barr. Amina Bello’s philanthropic efforts, both personally and through her NGO, Hayat Foundation, has been touching the lives of the disability community and beyond.
