I thought Abuja use to be the seat of power and govt, how come bandits and kidnappers suddenly turned FCT to their base?
Is Mr. Nysom Wike, the boisterous FCT Minister sleeping or napping?
The surge of insecurity is evidently felt across the country, but what’s really going on in FCT particularly? How can a supposed seat of govt and power becomes seat of bandits, maruders and hooligans?
It is obvious that since Abuja FCT is now the operational base for bandits and kidnappers, no doubt, all the North- Central states are in trouble.
The situation is becoming more frightening and worrisome because it has moved from high-way operation to home-service kidnapping.
It is imperative to alert the President so he can wake Wike from his non- functional posture or better still, call Wike to order.
He should either focus on his current task as FCT Minister and be seen to be focused, determined and productive or resign and face his ignoble and voracious quest to establish his third term governance in Rivers State.
For clarity, it has been noticed that Mr Wike, the FCT Minister, has shown more concerns about what is happening in Rivers State politics than overseeing the administration of FCT, which has now being taken over by hoodlums and unscrupulous elements.
While the FCT Minister is busy holding rallies and consultation in Rivers against his godson Governor Sim Fubara, bandits are busy ransacking Abuja and its residents.
Wike can not be blaming FCT Council Chairmen of not staying in Abuja, when himself has lost priorities, focus and concentration.
Even when you see him in Abuja, he holds meetings that is more of Rivers State Politics in his office or house more than contending and more damanding issues of FCT.
Any serious government that want to attract investors will show maximum seriousness to security matters and not a nonchalant posture to the nation security.
When security situation can deteriorate to this ignominious, disgraceful, and embarrassing level Abuja, Federal Capital of Nigeria, one can only imagine the excruciating and terrible situation in our various communities and sub-urban areas and the people, who are now left at the merciless mercy of bandits and crooks.
They President should wake Wike up from his dangerous slumber and snoring before bandits terrorising Abuja city wakes him in his office.
