A Lokoja 1 Constituency House of Assembly aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Babasule Dansarki Babanda, has described Ibrahim Nbaba, a livestock dealer who was killed by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) on Tuesday, as an hardworking and dedicated man, while charging police authorities to ensure his killer is brought to book.
This was contained in a condolence message to the family of the deceased, made available to this reporter yesterday in Lokoja.
Describing his death as a pill of reality too bitter to swallow, Babanda said Nbaba was alive to his responsibilities, tasking the police, to do everything within its power to ensure that his killer is apprehended and brought to book.
The aspirant urged the authorities to ensure that the peaceful status of Lokoja local government area is maintained, saying that the peace in the area cannot be compromised.
Babanda lamented that the wife and children of the deceased are subjected to experiencing the harsh side of life, while praying to God to dry their tears and quickly heal the wounds the sad occurrence must have inflicted on the family.
The late Nbaba, was a dealer in livestock in Ganaja community. He was killed by a Police man yesterday in Ganaja village at his shop.
Nbaba’s death was said to have occurred when he had an encounter with the Police man at the front of his shop and the already drunk Police officer shot him immediately.
