Hon. Ayuba Edino, the visionary Chief Executive Officer of ZAYYRAB GLOBAL LIMITED, has issued a strategic market advisory to all stakeholders in the cashew value chain across Igala Kingdom and the entire Kogi State.
In a firm but patriotic declaration, he warned all buyers and aggregators to desist from selling wet cashew nuts to foreign merchants.
He emphasized that any foreign investor or expatriate trader operating within our cashew ecosystem must strictly purchase properly dried, export-grade cashew nuts in accordance with international quality control standards.
According to Hon. Ayuba Edino, wet cashew nuts distort market integrity, reduce product valuation, compromise quality benchmarks, and undermine Nigeria’s competitive advantage in the global commodity exchange.
He made it clear that the Igala people and the entire Kogi agricultural community must not allow short-term transactions to sabotage long-term market sustainability.
“We must protect our commodity. We must protect our farmers. We must protect our market reputation,” he affirmed.
He urged all farmers to remain calm and resolute, assuring them that strategic mechanisms are being activated to stabilize the cashew price structure, regulate supply chains, and standardize both local and international market operations.
He pledged that under his leadership, the cashew sector will continue to align with international grading standards, moisture content compliance benchmarks, transparent pricing models, fair trade and ethical export frameworks as well as structured aggregation and distribution systems.
Hon. Ayuba Edino reiterated his unwavering commitment to building a structured, investor-friendly, and globally competitive cashew market that guarantees profitability for farmers, sustainability for buyers, and credibility in international trade corridors.
He praised the resilient farmers of Igala Kingdom for their discipline, productivity, and commitment to excellence. He equally commended the entire people of Kogi State for standing firm in protecting the agricultural economy, which remains a backbone of regional development and economic empowerment.
“The Igala nation is not just producing cashew — we are producing standard, value, and global market credibility.
“Under sound leadership and collective discipline, the cashew industry in Kogi will not only stabilize — it will dominate. The future of our commodity market is structured. The price will be stabilized. The standard will be enforced. The farmers will prosper.”
