Ayegunle Gbede Descendants Union (AGDU) has congratulated one his its illustrious sons, Prof. Nasir Naeem Abdulsalam, on his appointment as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited (ASCL).
President Bola Tinubu had on Friday appointed Prof. Nasir as the new MD of ASCL.
In a congratulatory message signed by its National Public Relations Officer, Yusuf Adeyanju Yisau, AGDU noted that this important appointment is a testimony to Prof. Nasir’s exceptional leadership qualities, wealth of experience and contributions to the steel industry.
“Your background as a distinguished professor of geophysics, former Head of the Physics Department at Yakubu Gowon University, Abuja and Technical Adviser to the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, makes you uniquely qualified for this role.

AGDU wished Prof Nasir all the best in his new role and looked forward to the positive impact his leadership will bring to the community, steel industry and the nation as a whole.
