The Avoyi Team for Ododo has expressed deep sympathy with the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, over the death of his beloved father.
In a condolence message issued on Tuesday by the group’s secretary, Halimat Isah and signed by the convener, Avoyi Nwogu on behalf of the team, the group described the late patriarch as a man of rare virtue who lived a life marked by wisdom, kindness, and moral strength, whose absence would be deeply felt.
The group noted that the values of discipline, morals, honesty, and commitment to the common good that the late Ododo exhibited are evident in the Governor’s leadership, which continues to reflect humility, purpose, and a genuine concern for the people of Kogi State.
“We share in Your Excellency’s grief at this difficult moment and pray that Almighty Allah grants you and your family the strength and patience to bear this painful loss. May Allah overlook his shortcomings, grant him Aljannah Firdaus, and continue to guide you as you carry on the honour of his name through your service to the people of Kogi State,” the statement read.
The Avoyi Team further recalled that the late Ododo was highly regarded for his fatherly counsel and his firm resolve to fairness and truth, qualities that earned him deep respect in both his community and beyond. His memory, they noted, would remain a source of comfort and guidance for generations to come.
They urged the Governor to take solace in the enduring legacy of uprightness and dignity left behind by his father, stressing that his own devotion to peace, growth, and progress in Kogi State confirms the values nurtured in him from childhood.
The Avoyi Team reaffirmed its continued solidarity with Governor Ododo, urging the people of Kogi State to stand with him in prayers and support during this period of mourning.
