Social critic, Comrade Austin Usman Okai has won popular votes to emerge ‘Social Media Governor’ of Kogi state.
In a keenly contested ‘most influential personality’ category of the annual Kogi Social Media Awards, Okai garnered more public votes to emerge winner ahead of Kogi state commissioner for rural development, Hon Oné Ejigbo, the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of Kogi state, popularly known as Kogi Rebel, and Prince Omera Opaluwa.
The new ‘Social Media Governor’ of Kogi state, has been a consistent advocate for good governance and human rights crusader.
Speaking with our reporter after he was announced winner, Okai expressed gratitude to the people of Kogi state for the honour.
He promised to sustain his advocacy efforts and ensure the rights of every one in the state is protected.
Okai stated that his emergence will ginger him to defend the masses and champion causes that will promote the wellbeing of every Kogite.
