Former governor of Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu, should look beyond becoming the governor of the state in view of his current position, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Goodman Akwu, has said.

Dr Akwu who is the coordinator of APC Loyalty Group in the Middle-belt stated this yesterday while speaking with journalists on the coming governorship election in the state.

He said the ex-governor has contributed his quota to the development of the state when he had the opportunity to rule the state twice, thus he should aspire higher.

“Prince Audu’s contemporaries like Senator Bola Tinubu and Dr Oyegun that ruled Lagos and Edo states respectively in his time are playing serious role in the politics at the centre country. I wonder why Prince Audu would not emulate these great men and join them to play politics at the federal level where the real juice is presently,” he said.

He urged Audu to place himself in the leadership role to equate the achievements of his contemporaries that have placed themselves in a very advantageous position for their people in the present dispensation.
