The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has denied allegation that former governor of Kogi state, Abubakar Audu paid one billion naira to pick the gubernatorial ticket of the party in the state.
ACN National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who made the denial, however confirmed that N2.7 million was paid by the former governor to the party as a nomination fee.
Mohammed stated that the party chose Audu as its candidate because he was the only candidate with best electoral fortune and track records that can win Kogi for ACN.
