…Peter Obi’s choice, a catastrophe to Northern Acceptance

Have you been wondering why there is almost no opposition to President Muhammadu Buhari? It is for many reasons. Foundationally, the North is the most solid and politically aware part of Nigeria. From strategic leadership to voter awareness and dominance in the public service.

One thing is key. When PDP made a choice of pushing their Presidential candidate to the North, the plan was to divide the northern votes. It could have been the first time the North would have been pitted against themselves. Say Northeast, West, and North Central.

However, the choice of the candidate in Atiku Abubakar did not satisfy the logistics needed to go that mile.

Besides that, it is naivety and political correctness to think that the North would support a Peter Obi Vice Presidency in the presence of the eye-to-eye hatred between the Hausa Fulanis and the Igbos (Pogrom and Civil War).

This is the bitter reality most Northern elites would not admit openly.
For politically correct people, they won’t also write it on social media. However, go down the streets of Bauchi or Yobe, talk to the average Northerner, the wounds are almost not healing as much as the illiteracy remains constant.

The ticket that would have even attempted to fly could have been “Rochas Okorocha” as Vice to Atiku, because of his mother’s origin as a Nottherner. However, they are in different parties. But that Rochas is also hated by some naive Igbo who do not understand the power game. They call him “Okoroawusa” for romancing with the North in an attempt to draw the Presidency to Igbo land.

Peter Obi is the silent match stick burning up Atiku’s chances in the core north if ethnicity as a reason to vote is considered.

I was in Kaduna two days ago, up Wharf Road, I listened to the locals talk about Peter Obi.

Besides that angle, do you know the North NEVER “divides” their votes? That is why they are the strongest block of political negotiators.

The South West is also trying to achieve that standing with what Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing in the South, amidst hues of interpretation of greed and building himself a political empire. In the true sense of it, Bola is an Awoist and Awolowo is a regionalist.

The North also became this solid political as a regional block. Aligning corporations and holding the largest members in parliament in the first republic.

That foundation of Nigerian politics never went away.
Check the voter statistics, the East is still the lowest, even though the have a population that can best many states in the North Central region.
If Igbo Leaders had made reasoning their political stratagem, Peter Obi would not have been a choice “politically”.

Buhari would not have been attacked and assaulted Politically. The person leading that assault using the Igbos without their knowledge is Fani Femi Kayode, whom is also working to put back the Yoruba race in power by 2023, with power returning to the North in 2031 as the East continually remain “activists” without understanding the political lobbying in Nigeria.

Have you ever wondered, why FFK is allowed to gather many Igbos on his wall, spreading fake news and still allowed to continue? He married an Igbo woman. He wrote pieces talking about his “Eastern Alliance”.

He has had romantic ventures with Bianca before. He has been married many times and left the marriages. Watch what would happen next if the elections are over.

This is how the establishment works. They write you a script. Play it tough and you all follow like sheep looking for a rest house.
