There comes a time to be born, a time to learn, and a time to put those lessons into active service in building society.

For Prince Babajide Kolade-Otitoju, a man of humble beginnings, helped by God to venture into the career he loves and prepared to walk the path, one can only give thanks. Though the journey has not been as smooth as it may now appear, one cannot overlook the hand of God that has shown mercy throughout the course of this journey — a journey spanning over three decades and now marking sixty remarkable years.

My boss — an amiable goal-getter and one of the finest investigative journalists Africa has produced — never leaves any stone unturned in the discharge of his duties. He does not joke with his work, nor does he overlook even the slightest error when it comes to professionalism.

A giver, a lover, an empathy-driven man, and a devoted family man, who holds the truth as his watchword, has shaped many lives, unearthed buried truths, and enlightened countless people who once lived in ignorance.

Your gift has continued to open doors and place you where your voice truly matters. Your courage to stand firmly for the truth has set you apart, and it is no surprise that many rise today to honour you.

As we thank God for the life of this bold, audacious, and courageous pen warrior, who chose the media as a platform to make the world a better place, we can only say: God alone be all the glory as he clocks sixty today.

Thank you for always speaking truth to power. Your ink will never run dry.

Happy Diamond Jubilee, Boss. Thank you for all you do for me and for us. I love you, sir — I truly do.
