The House of Assembly candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Abdulnafiu Sule Iroko has warned against political violence in Yagba East.

Speaking at his campaign office in Bagido-Isanlu while addressing his supporters and party faithfuls on Saturday, Iroko urged them not to be deterred or weighed down by the message of war and campaign of calumny been passed around, but to remain more focused and committed to the course of liberating Yagba East.

He appealed to them to emulate him, because he is an advocate of peace, and to also avoid any disparaging utterance.

Sule Iroko enjoined every candidate vying for a position, party members and youths in the society to look beyond self gratification that could lead to civil unrest and lawlessness in the society.

He also advised politicians across Yagba East to shun politics of bitterness, violence and provocative comments and to also preach same to their supporters.

He stressed further that they are one as far as Yagba East is concerned and all stakeholders should avoid any act that can trigger unrest and chaos of any sort in Yagba East and its environs, irrespective of their party affiliations.

“Politicians will come and go but Yagba East will remain. It is only when there is peace and unity that we can progress as a community,” he admonished.

He appealed to his supporters to come out en masse and vote ADC in the forthcoming House of Assembly election, so that they can sustain and consolidate the good work him and his boss, Elder Leke Abejide have started in Yagba East.
