There is no doubting the fact that sight is of utmost importance to man. This is because, with our eyes, one is able to see and appreciate the world. That is why it is important to always take adequate care of our eyes.
It is also fact that many people lose their eyes because of poor hygiene and their inability to get medical attention.
Being a humanist has to do with identifying with people, their problems and providing solutions when you can. So, when it comes to being a humanist, Hon. Asiru is a frontier, the Asiwaju of all.
Among his numerous intervention programmes, the Hon. Idris Asiru’s ongoing medical outreach program is not only limited to providing correctional eye glasses to those who needed it, it is also restoring hope to those who have hitherto lost hope in getting their sight difficulty corrected through surgery. It has also put smiles on the faces of those who seek medical checkups on their eyes but couldn’t.
It’s all about service to humanity and it span beyond party and religious affiliations.
The people of Isanlu, Yagba East, Kogi West, and indeed, Kogi State are proud of you. We say a very big thank you for yet another intervention, may God continue to prosper you, Hon. Asiwaju Idris Asiru.
