Dare-devil armed bandits have taken over Kogi roads, killing and dispossessing commuters of their valuable assets.
A high court judge in the state (names witheld) had his Kia jeep riddled with bullets while trying to escape armed robbery attack on his way to Anyingba at Ojodu in Ofu local government area of the state.
It was also gathered that other group of bandits have taken over the Ejule-Aloma road, Lokoja-Ajaokuta-Enugu road, making movement on that route difficult.
On Lokoja-Okene express way, the situation is even worse as most travelers expressed fears about their safety along the area.
The worst hit in this orgy of banditry so far, is Kogi East where on daily basis, the men of the underworld operate, leaving behind tales of woes after such operations.
With this development, the government has been urged to deploy security operatives to the roads to avoid further destruction of lives.
