Armed Forces Remembrance Day: Wada Urges Nigerian to Make Selfless Sacrifices

The present generations of Nigerians have been asked to make selfless sacrifices, to compliment the sacrifices made by heroes of the past.

Capt. Idris Wada, Kogi State Governor stated this at the end of the 2013 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration and appeal week.

Represented by his Deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, the nation he disclosed will make the desired progress when the efforts of those who laid down their lives are constantly appreciated by the present generation with unity and development as major focus.

The State Governor commended the efforts of the heroes past in bequeathing to the present generation a strong and united Nigeria, urged the present generation of leaders to think of issues that would always unite the nation.

The Governor called on the present generation to eschew selflessness, hard work, sincerity and commitment towards the growth of the nation.

Capt. Idris Wada promised continuous support to the State Chapter of the Nigerian Legion.

The celebration which was a week-long activities ended with wreaths lying ceremony by the State Governor and other top security officials in the State.
