Arc. Safiya A. Umar, FNIA has congratulated the newly sworn-in Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo, adding that she sees nothing but a brighter state under the Ododo-led government.
Arc. Safiya, who is the Convener/Chairperson of Elite Movement for GYB-CEDO and also a frontline member, Kogi Professional Women for Ododo, made this known while speaking to newsmen in Lokoja.
She described the immediate past Governor, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello as a great unifier sent by almighty God to put an end to the era of ethnic agenda and religious sentiments in Kogi state, while also transforming the State for the betterment of the people of Kogi.
She opined that with the achievements recorded by Bello in areas of economic growth, health, education, human capital development and security, she sees nothing but a brighter Kogi State under the administration of Governor Ododo.
She urged every sons and daughters of Kogi State, irrespective of political affiliation, religion and ethnicity, to rally round the new Governor to give him the necessary support to move the State forward, stressing that “as Kogites, we have no other State to call our own”.
She concluded by beseeching almighty God to enrich the Governor with good health, wisdom and the ability to pilot the affairs of Kogi State to the next level.
She equally prayed for the good health that former Governor Yahaya Bello will require in discharging his fatherly responsibility to the people of Kogi State henceforth, while wishing him success in his future endeavours.
