A chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kogi state, Hon. Sani Idakwo Philips has congratulated Engr. Musa Wada over his victory at the court of appeal affirming him as the authentic candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last gubernatorial election in the state.
Idakwo who hails from the same ward with Engr Musa Wada stated that although he is not a member of the People Democratic Party he was ready to support any positive move that could ultimately lead to the removal of Alhaji Yahaya Bello as Governor of Kogi state owing to large scale incompetence displayed by the Governor and backwardness the state has witnessed since the past four years.
In a message sent to Kogireports, Hon Sani Idakwo Philips advised Wada not to celebrate yet as the battle to liberate the people of Kogi state had just began.
Idakwo urged Engr Musa Wada to demonstrate leadership and maturity by extending a hand of fellowship to the petitioner, Abubakar Ibrahim Idris.
In the same vein, Idakwo urged Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris not to proceed to the Supreme Court but to accept the judgement of the Court of Appeal in good faith and in the spirit of good sportsmanship, join hands with other members of the opposition to liberate the state from the mal- administration of the APC led government in Kogi State.
Idakwo suggested a synergy between opposition parties and candidates in the state especially as the case is currently being determined in the court, noting that one of the reasons why the APC freely manipulated the electoral process in the last gubernatorial elections was the lack of synergy and cooperation between opposition parties and candidates in last governorship polls.
