Kogi State House of Assembly member representing Igalamela/Odolu Constituency, Barr. Cosmas Ilemona Atabor has commended stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local government area for “the most peaceful ward congresses ever conducted in the local government.”

“For the first time in over a decade, ward congresses have been conducted without any report of violence of any kind.

“This is an obvious indication that the politics of non-violence which I promised my constituents upon assumption of office has been realized.

“The peace and unifying process further affirms Igalamela/Odolu’s status as a home of peace – great departure from the situation a couple of years ago,” said the lawmaker.

He also commended party leaders, members and stakeholders for exhibiting maturity and patience during the exercise in the ten wards of the local government.

Hon. Atabor said the peaceful conduct of the congresses showed that the people had accepted the party in the local government area and the state at large.

He enjoined the elected leaders of the party in all ten wards to continue to promote peace and harmony among members and ensure that the party continues to wax stronger in the years to come.
