APC Support Group in Kogi Commences One-on-one Campaign

As the campaign for presidential election in February gathers momentum,   Kogi for Change, an All Progressives Congress (APC) support group in Kogi State has deepened campaign to reach its supporters, especially those at the grassroots on a one-on-one, face-to-face mass mobilization basis.

The founder of the group, Dr. Tom Ohikere disclosed this at a press briefing in Lokoja, where he solicited the support of the media to achieve the organization’s goal.

According to Ohikere, a former commissioner of information in the state, the goal of the group is to act as a conveyor belt to disseminate the change agenda of the APC presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari in the state.

He disclosed that coordinators have been appointed for each of the 21 local government areas of the state as well as ward coordinators to disseminate Gen. Buhari’s message of change to rescue Nigeria from retrogression.

The group, Ohikere added would be involved in mass voters education across the state to keep APC supporters abreast with the latest development on the political scene.

Ohikere further disclosed that Gen. Buhari agenda for change is eager to see that insecurity, economic and energy challenges in the country are urgently addressed for rapid development of the country.

The founder of the group Engr. Umar Jibril is the chairman of the campaign in view of his wealth of experience in politics.

In his remark, Engr. Jibril, a former stalwart of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) said he accepted the responsibility because of his belief that the PDP has no answer to the myriad of problems confronting the country.

Other principal officers to work with him are, Evangelist Destiny Enojoh Arome, secretary (Kogi East), Princess Husseina Otokiti, treasurer (Kogi Central), Prince Taiwo Orebiyi, Publicity secretary, (Kogi West), Mall. Tanimu Ndagi welfare secretary (Kogi West), Imam Imam, campaign Adviser, (Kogi East) and Amuda Lamidi, organizing secretary, Kogi Central)
