The Deputy National Spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, has extended his felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Maulud.
In a message released to the public, Hon. Meseko described the celebration as a special moment to reflect on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He emphasized that the Prophet’s life exemplified peace, tolerance, and unity—virtues he urged all Nigerians, irrespective of their religious affiliations, to embrace.
“The birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) offers us a profound opportunity to imbibe his virtues of love, patience, and peaceful coexistence,” Meseko stated. “His life was a testament to the power of compassion and the importance of selflessness. As we celebrate this significant day, I urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue to pray for the peace and prosperity of our dear nation.”
He further called on the Muslim faithful to use the auspicious occasion to pray for the leadership of the country, from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to all elected officials, to receive divine guidance in steering the nation towards progress and development.
Meseko concluded his message by reaffirming the government’s commitment to the welfare and security of all Nigerians, assuring the public that the government is working diligently to address the current challenges facing the country. He wished the entire Muslim community a joyous and peaceful Eid-El-Maulud celebration.
