The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, has officially lauded security agencies for their recent “decisive dismantling” of armed bandit cells across Kogi State.

In a statement released to the press, Meseko highlighted the significant tactical gains made by a joint task force of security operatives, which resulted in the destruction of numerous insurgent camps, the rescue of several kidnapped victims, and the apprehension of high-profile bandits.

Meseko attributed these successes to the strategic leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, praising his administration’s unwavering commitment to making Kogi a “no-go area” for criminal elements.

“The recent successes recorded on the field are a clear testimony to the proactive security architecture put in place by Governor Ododo,” Meseko stated. “The synergy between the state government and federal security agencies is yielding tangible results that the people of Kogi can see and feel.”

The APC Deputy National Publicity Scribe noted that the neutralization of hideouts—in which multiple camps used as launchpads for attacks were razed—alongside the successful extraction of civilians previously held captive in the hinterlands and the arrest of key individuals linked to recent highway robberies, is a confirmation that the tide has been turned against the armed bandits.

While celebrating the victory, the APC chieftain emphasized that the battle is far from over. He urged the military, police, and local vigilante groups to sustain the current momentum to ensure that insecurity is reduced to the barest minimum.

Meseko concluded by calling on Kogi residents to remain vigilant and continue supporting the government’s security initiatives by providing timely information to the authorities.
