The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Abubakar Bashir Gegu, has described the ongoing council election in the state as a walkover for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Engr. Bashiru expressed optimism that the good works of former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello and Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo people oriented policies have paved the way for the APC’s victory.
He predicted a clean sweep for the APC in Saturday’s Local Government Election across the state, particularly in Kogi LGA.
After casting his vote at Gegu Beki, Engr. Bashiru stated, “The APC remains the dominant party in the state, thanks to Gov. Ododo’s good works,”
He praised the peaceful conduct and large turnout of the electorate, commending the State Electoral Commission and security agencies for the orderly conduct of the election.
Confidently, Engr. Bashiru predicted that the APC will win 90% of the votes, declaring the election a total victory for the party.
