The All Progressive Congress (APC) aspirant to the Upper Legislative Chamber of the National Assembly, Honourable Dino Melaye has said that the stage is set for the party to take over from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), come 2015
Dino, who was in the House of Representatives between 2007 and 2011 called on the supporters of the APC in Kogi State to be resolute in their quest to defeat the ruling PDP in the forthcoming election.
Speaking after submitting his expression of interest and nomination forms in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, he said his party is ready to remove any obstacle that may hinder the success of the party, saying the need to salvage the people is now.
He added that the revolution to remove the PDP from all political positions in the country has commenced, insisting that “we are going to defeat and send PDP packing from Western Senatorial District of Kogi State, through digital campaign.”
He called on all APC supporters in the Kogi State to ensure that they defend their votes to avert rigging, stressing that, “the days of rigging, ballot box snatching and changing of figures after elections are over.”
