APC National Women Leader Urges Kogi Students to Shun Social Vices

The national women leader of the All Progressive Congress, Hajia Salamatu Baiwa has called on youths to stay away from drug abuse, cultism and other social vibes as the end results are disastrous.
She made this call in her home town, Anyigba in kkogi state during the condolence visit of the executives of student union bodies comprising of the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), Igala Student Union Government of tertiary institutions across the state on the demise of her mother, Hajia Zainab Abdullahi yesterday.
While addressing the students Salamatu emphasised the need for students to shun drug abuse, violence adding that the psychological effect such as depression, paranoia, anxiety and it’s physical effects like kidney failure, liver and lung damage, heart disease can all be avoided by just shunning drug abuse.
She also stress the need for youths to focus more on adding values to themselves, building a sustainable career and be determined in all their endeavours to enable them stand out in what they do.
In her address, she encouraged the youths in the state to get their pvc as it remains the most valid tools with which to elect credible people that will ensure a greater Nigeria and their future and also charged them to disseminate that message in their various campuses.
The NAKOSS President, Comrade Audu Omeiza Troy, who spoke on behalf of the student union leaders, thanked the woman leader and promised to take the message back to their various campuses to ensure the youths get rid of this life destructing venture called drug abuse. He equally noted that, plan is in the pipeline to tour all campuses across the state to sensitize the youths in other to erode drug abuse and cultism from the teaming youths of the state.
