— Says former SA failed to honour disciplinary committee invitation
Stakeholders and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward A, Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State, have insisted that Hon. Nda Aaron remains suspended from party activities over alleged gross misconduct and breach of party resolutions.
The stakeholders made their position known in a petition addressed to the party leadership and obtained by newsmen in Lokoja on Tuesday.

The petition, dated July 22, 2025, also reaffirmed that the embattled politician, who recently indicated interest in contesting for Lokoja I State Constituency seat in the Kogi State House of Assembly, failed to appear before a disciplinary committee set up by the party to defend allegations against him.
According to the document, the ward executive committee had earlier placed Hon. Aaron on indefinite suspension over allegations bordering on actions considered capable of undermining party unity and discipline.
However, the petition noted that following intervention by party stakeholders, a reconciliation committee chaired by the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Umar Aliyu Yusuf, was constituted to resolve the crisis.
The committee reportedly recommended steps aimed at restoring peace and unity within the ward, including the affirmation of existing leadership structures and a call for all parties to respect party supremacy.
Despite the intervention, the ward executives maintained that Hon. Aaron’s failure to honour the invitation of the disciplinary committee amounted to disregard for party authority, insisting that appropriate sanctions remain in place in line with the APC constitution.
The petition further urged the APC leadership in Lokoja Local Government Area and the state executive to take note of the development and uphold internal party discipline.
It reads in part: “You are hereby reminded that all members are under obligation to abide strictly by party constitution, directives, and resolutions of duly constituted organs of the party. Failure to comply with party directives may attract sanctions in accordance with the provisions of the constitution.”
The stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to peace, justice, and unity within the party but stressed that discipline must be maintained to safeguard internal order.
As of press time, there was no official response from Hon. Nda Aaron regarding the renewed position of the Ward A executives.
